Community Support Pricing

It’s like a sliding scale but for being a good neighbor.

We know a lot of folks are struggling financially and still need — and deserve — help around their homes. That’s why we created The Working Dog Mutual Aid Fund and built it around the idea that neighbors can support neighbors.

Keep reading to learn how it works and how you can take part.

Need a hand? Lend a hand.

Our community support pricing model empowers our clients to choose the rates that are accessible to their own circumstances.

If your situation requires a lower rate, choose one of the “Supported By Community” rates on the job request form or simply reach out to us. We’re always down to talk trades, payment plans, or other creative ways of making sure you’re taken care of.

If your situation allows for more flexibility, we encourage you to support your neighbors and choose one of the “Community Supporter” rates on the job request form or contribute directly to the Fund.

What Does The mutual aid Fund Do?

1. Community Support Pricing

The Mutual Aid Fund is in part used to offset the cost of services for WDM clients who need it. If you’ve contributed to the Fund, your money goes here to help someone else afford their services.

2. Extended Support Fund

The second job of the Fund is to stretch beyond Working Dog jobs. We use your contributions + 5% of our monthly profits to help our neighbors with stuff like rent, top surgery costs, and other mutual aid projects.

Financial Transparency

Working Dog contributes 5% of our monthly profits to the Fund each month. This contribution + everything our community members contribute goes to subsidizing services or to external support efforts.

We share detailed fund info in our quarterly financial reports, and we’re always happy to answer questions from our community members. If there’s something you want to know more about or if you have ideas about where the fund should go, just reach out.
